NEW HAVEN, CT...Sophomore middle blocker #Ursula Pereira# (Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Newark Eastside) garnered Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday September 30, 2007.
Pereira led Bloomfield to a 2-0 week with averaged 6.43 kills, 2.29 digs and 0.71 blocks per-game. Ursula posted 31 kills and nine digs against Dominican on Tuesday September 25th, then added 14 kills and five blocks versus Caldwell on Thursday September 27th. Pereira's outstanding performances helped Bloomfield regain sole possession of first place in the CACC North Division by weeks end.
