Marvin Williams (Jersey City, NJ) account for almost half of Bloomfield College's total points as the Deacons defeat Felician College 88-74 in exciting CACC North Division action. With the victory, Bloomfield improves to 5-1 in CACC play (7-6 overall) while the Golden Falcons fall to 4-9 on the season, 2-4 in the CACC.
Mike Williams opened up the contest with a jumpshot that sparked an 8-0 Deacon run culminating with a slam dunk by sophomore forward
Claude Blue (Brooklyn, NY). Bloomfield would lead the contest from wire to wire and all the Golden Falcons could do is pull to within three twice in the period before the Deacons went on a 15-4 run to take command at 17-33.
Mike Williams paced the Deacons with 13 points in the opening frame. Jeyvi Miavivululu (Paterson, NJ) came off the bench to provide a spark for Felician but they still found themselves down 32-45 heading into the break at half.
The second half saw
Marvin Williams catch fire pouring in 12 points in the frame as Bloomfield kept the pressure on the Golden Falcons. The Deacons watched their lead balloon to 23 (40-63) after four consecutive 3-pointers on the offensive end, the last of which was scored by freshman forward
Carlo DeChavez (West Orange, NJ) at the 13:23 mark. Felician would do all they could to claw back into the game, getting as close as 10 (68-78) but
Marvin Williams snatched an offensive rebound and laid the ball back in off the glass to halt the Golden Falcons comeback attempts and preserve the Deacons CACC victory.

Marvin Williams with 20 points as the dynamic duo fueled the Deacons offense during the contest. Sophomore guard
Clarence White (Bronx, NY) contributed to the cause with 14 points while freshman center
John Powell (Ashland, MA) pulled down 8 rebounds for Bloomfield. On Felician's side of the ball, Miavivululu finished with 19 points and 8 rebounds followed by a strong performance from guard Anthony Obery (Roselle, NJ) with 14 points.
