BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bloomfield College men's soccer team fell to 2-6 on the season Tuesday night, as they dropped a 4-1 home decision to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Concordia College at Foley Field. The loss evens the Bears conference record at 2-2 while the Clippers improve to 6-1-1 overall and 5-1-1 in CACC play.

Concordia jumped out in front of the Bears in the 18th minute of the match, as Matteo Fabbri found the back of the net to put the Clippers on top 1-0.  Concordia would add their second goal of the night when Ovan Oakley chipped a ball over Bears goalie Wilson Cisneros (Bronx, N.Y.) on a pass from Fabbri to put the Clippers up heading into the break.

The home team would break into the scoring column early in the 2nd period when Jonathon Callagahan (Falkirk, Scotland) sent a penalty kick past the Concordia goalie after being fouled in the box at the 48:06 minute mark. The Bears could draw no closer as Oakley finished the night with a hatrick, scoring Concordia's final 2 goals in the second half for the 4-1 decision.

Bloomfield would total 8 shots on the night, but proved unable to mount a comeback effort, as the Clippers closed out the period with 8 shots of their own, holding a 13-8 advantage in shots for the match. The Bears held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks but were unable to translate them into points during the game. 

The Bears will return to action October 2nd, when they host CACC rival Georgian Court in the third game of a Bloomfield four game homestand. They will look to give the home crowd their first taste of victory at Foley Field with a kickoff time for the contest set at 7:00pm.
