BEARS SHUTOUT BY FELICIAN 4-0 IN CACC MATCH AT FOLEY FIELD

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bloomfield College women's soccer team dropped their second straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game of the season Tuesday evening in a 4-0 shutout at the hands of Felician College. The setback at Foley Field drops the Bears to 2-2 overall on the year and a 0-2 mark in conference action, while the Golden Falcons capture their first win overall (1-2) and in CACC play (1-0).

Felician only scored one goal in the opening period, off the Bears keeper, Diana Vincentini (Lacey TWP, N.J.) on a volley into the box during the 41st minute. Bloomfield went into the half down 1-0 but were out shot 10-4 in the first half and looked to regroup coming out of the break. The Bears CACC Honor Roll player for the week of Sept. 15th, Alicia Galiano (Washington TWP, N.J.) had two shots in the opening half but was unable to connect as the home team's offense struggled.

Early in the second stanza, the Golden Falcons put the game out of reach scoring two goals less than two minutes apart on the Bears junior captain goalkeeper Vincentini. Bloomfield brought in freshman keeper, Emira Sela (Staten Island, N.Y.) in the 58th minute and she surrendered one goal and picked up two saves during the rest of the match.

Bloomfield will try to bounce back from their current two-game slide when they travel to Lakewood, N.J. to face the Lions of Georgian Court. The Saturday, noontime start will be the Bears third CACC test of the 2015 season.
