BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Tied after each half of regulation and an overtime period, the Bloomfield College men's basketball team fell to the visiting Eagles from Post University Tuesday evening, 91-86 in a thrilling double-overtime Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle.
Rakwan Kelly (Newark, N.J.) churned out another double-double for the Bears with 18 points and 12 boards while
Marcus Fleming (Linden, N.J.) led the starters with a 21-point effort but it was not enough as the Eagles soared on the back of Malcolm Amos who dropped a game-high 32 points.

How It Happened
- The Bears stormed out to a 15-4 lead after a layup by starter, Dontay Julius (Linden, N.J.), who finished the game with 19 total points
- Nick Davidson (Lumberton, N.J.) gave Bloomfield their largest lead of the half after a bucket in the paint put the home team up thirteen (25-12) with 8:22 left to play in the opening stanza
- The Eagles mounted a 19-6 run across the rest of the first half, capped by an Amos jumper at the buzzer to send the teams into the locker rooms tied at 31-31
- Post, determined to stay closer in the second half, kept the Bears within arms reach as Fleming netted a three-pointer at 12:11 for Bloomfield's largest point margin in the period, 46-39
- Four minutes later, the Eagles took the lead on a Tyler Desrosiers 3-pointer as the visitors guard finished the evening with 21 points including 12 in the two extra frames to seal the win
- Safee Abdus-Sabur (Newark, N.J.) in just his seventh career start, had a tough outing, going 2-for-16 from the field and scored just two points in regulation
Up Next: Bloomfield will take to the friendly skies for a Thanksgiving trip to the 'Mile-High City' to face-off in the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Cherry Creek Classic. Friday night the Bears battle the Rangers from Regis University at 7:00 pm and then match up with Metro State on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
