The Bloomfield College women's soccer team dropped their home opener, 3-0 to the visiting Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), Lions of Georgian Court University. The setback left the Bears with a 0-3 overall record and 0-1 in league play while the visitors improved to 1-2 on the season and a perfect, 1-0 in conference action.

Bloomfield played a brilliant defensive first half and kept the Lions off the scoreboard for the opening forty-five minutes of the game.

In the second half the Lions used a goal in the 57
th minute of action to crack the scoreless tie and later added goals at the 86:26 and 88:21 minute marks to put the game away

The Lions fired off 20 shots on the afternoon with half (10) of them on target while the Bears managed five shots with two of them on goal for the day. GCU held an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks while the home team's keeper,
Adeline Argabrite (Bloomfield, N.J.) recorded seven saves in her first NCAA Div. II career start.Â
