The Bloomfield College women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought, 6-2 decision to the Wildcats of Wilmington University Saturday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action. The setback left the Bears with a 0-5 overall record and 0-2 in league play while the visitors, celebrating their Homecoming, improved to 4-1 on the season and a perfect, 3-0 in conference action.
 
Bloomfield fell behind quickly, as they gave up a goal in the fourth minute of play but the Bears settled in and took the fight to the Wildcats to even the score at 1-1 at 28:22 mark on a Breeana Cassidy (Freehold, N.J.) goal off the foot of Lisa Parello (Staten Island, N.Y.) for the assist. The visitors put pressure on Wilmington less than four minutes later when junior transfer, Simone McEnough (Neptune, N.J.) shot a ball over the goalie from 23 yards out and put Bloomfield up, 2-1 with her second goal of the season.
 
The Wildcats found their equalizer in the 40^th minute and then went ahead for good less than a minute later as the homecoming crowd cheered their 3-2 advantage at the break.
 
Wilmington scored three more goals in the second half to secure the CACC victory.
 
Next up Bloomfield welcomes the Cougars from Caldwell University in another CACC showdown. The match up is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start under the lights at Foley Field. Tuesday, September 20^th.
