BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Bloomfield College women's basketball team faced off with the Clippers of Concordia College Saturday afternoon at The Den and escaped with a 59-55 victory. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division thriller featured
Morgan Taylor (Paterson, N.J.) knocking down free throws at the end of the game to ice the Clippers upset hopes. Taylor finished with 15 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field, while
Zhane Robinson (Newark, N.J.) also scored 15 points but on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor. CACC Player of the Week,
Tianna Smith (Spring Valley, N.Y.) scored a team-high 17 points and dished out 4 assists. The Bears had very little answers for Clippers' senior guard, Jessica Rosalbo who scorched for a career and game-high 29 points.

How It Happened
- In the first quarter Bloomfield took a slight 8-4 advantage just over two minutes into the game but Concordia responded with a 7-3 outburst to tie the score at 11-11. The teams finished the opening period tied again at 16-16 as Rosalbo scored the visitors final ten points in the frame
- The score was tied two more times in the second quarter but the Bears built some distance by the break and took a 31-24 lead into halftime
- Smith, poured in twelve of her total points in the first two quarters but Rosalbo trumped her with 14 points at the half
- Bloomfield expanded their lead to fourteen (38-24) with seven consecutive points to start the 3rd quarter and seemed in control of the CACC match up. Concordia fought back to bring their deficit back down to seven (44-37) by the end of the frame and position themselves within striking distance heading into the final quarter
- The Clippers were determined to even up the match and surged with a 15-5 run deep into the fourth quarter to knot tie the battle at 55-55 with 39 seconds left on the clock. Taylor went 4-for-6 from the charity stripe the rest of the way and Concordia failed to convert a bucket as Rosalbo committed a turnover down the stretch that helped seal the Clippers fate
Up Next: Bloomfield will host another CACC North Division rival Tuesday evening when the Golden Falcons from Felician University pay the Den a visit. The game is slated to begin at 5:30 pm.
