How It Happened
  • Davidson knocked in a shot from beyond the arc to get the game's scoring underway and Bloomfield extended to a 9-4 lead with just five minutes played in the opening half. Post answered with a 9-2 run to seize their first lead of the game, 13-11
  • The Eagles opened up an 8-point advantage (23-15) and served notice to the Bears that their earlier season victory over the CACC North Division's top team wasn't a fluke, but the road team battled back and three consecutive buckets from Ignacio Diez (Madrid, Spain) sent them into the locker room up 32-31 at halftime
  • Davidson poured in 12 of Bloomfield's first half points and the international student-athlete, Diez narrowly missing a double-double with 10 points and 9 boards at the break
  • Marcus Fleming (Linden, N.J.) hit back-to-back buckets to begin the second half offensive effort for the visitors. Later in the period, a Fleming three-pointer extended the Bears lead to, 55-43 with half the period gone. Post used a 13-3 spurt to climb to within two (58-56) but Bloomfield rattled off the next eight straight points to quell the Eagles uprising
  • Fleming was perfect from the field (9-of-9) in the second half, including 3-for-3 from beyond the arc with all of his points coming in the final period as the visitors closed out the CACC North Division win
