WATERBURY, CONN. – Despite a sluggish start, the Bloomfield College women's basketball team pulled out their ninth consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory Tuesday evening as they defeated Post University, 68-55 at the Drubner Center. The Eagles suffered their second loss at the claws of the Bears this season with
Tianna Smith (Spring Valley, N.Y.), who recorded her eighth 20-plus game of the season, leading the way with, 26 points including 13-of-17 from the free throw line. Junior forward,
Zhane Robinson (Newark, N.J.) picked up her 9
th double-double of the year as she netted 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Bobbi Floyd (Las Vegas, N.V.) and
Deja McKenzie (Baltimore, M.D.) added solid performances as each registered four rebounds on the evening and the Bloomfield center chipped in 9 points while the forward notched 8 points.

How It Happened
- Bloomfield got off to a sluggish start, as the Eagles capitalized and soared to a 16-12 lead after the 1st quarter
- The road team settled in and claimed a 19-18 edge in the 2nd quarter on two free throws from Smith. The Bears senior guard finished the half with 17 points, including 10-of-12 from the line as her team went into the break up by four (32-28)
- The teams battle bucket-for-bucket in the 3rd quarter and the Eagles swooped in front, 41-38 with 2:37 on the clock. The road team responded with a 10-0 run to close out the period, fueled by two baskets from beyond the arc from Robinson and the final quarter began with Bloomfield up five (48-43)
- The Bears left nothing to chance in the 4th quarter and extended to a 10-point margin (64-54) with just over two minutes left to play. Bloomfield held the Eagles to just one point the rest of the way and secured the conference win

th. The South Division's second place team will try to take down the Bears and prevent their tenth-straight league win when the teams tip-off at 1:00pm. Bloomfield will be celebrating 'Take A Kid to the Game Day' on Saturday with all children, 12 and under, receiving free admission to the game when accompanied by an adult.
