WOMEN'S BOWLING ADDS FOUR MORE WINS AFTER LAST WEEKEND'S WILDCATS INVITATIONAL

WILMINGTON, DEL. – The Bears women's bowling team headed down the Turnpike to Delaware in order to take part in a three-day tournament hosted by Wilmington University. The Wildcat Invitational saw the Bloomfield team capture four more victories to add to their inaugural season totals.

The Bears' Friday matches yielded them a, 822-809 victory over eventual tournament winner, Chestnut Hill College in Bakers game play. Saturday was a more of the same, this time in traditional games with a win coming over Penn State Altoona, 749-645.

Quinn Hodson (Albany, NY) had a strong Day 2, posting a high game of 201 against Saint Vincent's College while Kiara Powell (Union, NJ) recorded a tournament-high, 220 in the same match.

Bloomfield properly showcased the fruits of their hard practice labor as they strung together back-to-back victories against Penn State Altoona (4-1) and New Jersey City University (4-3) on Day 3 of the tournament. It's an impressive record for a sport that's new to Bloomfield College and the team is determined to continue to improve their skills.

The stage for the Bears' next set of matches will be in Reading, PA starting from Saturday, February 2ndto Sunday the 3rd. The women will compete in Kutztown University's 'Bowl For The KUre', a charity event frequently held annually to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer.
