PHILADELPHIA, PA – For the second consecutive week, junior co-captain, Mark Lugo (Mount Holly, NJ) led the way for the Bears men's cross country team as he finished 7
that the Philadelphia Metro Invitational Saturday afternoon. Lugo's time of 28:34.1 helped the Bears claim a 5
thplace finish at the meet.
Isaiah Curbelo (Mount Holly, NJ) crossed the line second for the Bears, earning a 23
rdplace finish in a time of 29:36.7 with
Giovanni Aracena (Pleasantville, NJ) close by in a time of 29:46.1 to place 27
th. Freshmen classmates, Nicholas Rivera (Camden, NJ) and
Paul Keyes rounded out Bloomfield's scoring runners with times of 30:08.7 and 30:19.5 respectively and finished 34
thand 36
th. Senior co-captain
Maurisio Nazario (Passaic, NJ) finished next with a 30:47.7 mark and rookie Immyouri Etienne cross the line with a 34:44.7 time.
Bloomfield will be back on the course when they travel to the 'Boogie Down' Bronx to compete in the Brother John Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions on Saturday, Sept. 14
th. The meet hosted by Iona College will be run at Van Cortlandt Park at 10:00 am.
