ONGWENYI LEADS MEN'S TRACK & FIELD AT THE 2019 HOPKINS LOYOLA INVITATIONAL

BALTIMORE, MD – The Men's Track and Field program traveled and competed at the  Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Friday, April 12, 2019 hosted by John Hopkins University.
 
  • The day started of with the 5000, Oneil Williams (Newark, NJ) placing 2nd when he crossed the finish line with a time of 15:48.79, Paul Keyes (Cerredun, NJ) clocked in with a time of 16:18.49, Marc Lugo (Rochelle Park, NJ) followed closely finishing with a time of 16:20.74, and Nicholas Rivera (Camden, NJ) crossed the finish line with a time of 16:51.43.

  • The Bloomfield College ran 3 teams in the 4x100 showing a great team effort with the A team placing 2nd with a time of 42.51, team was composed by Jean Julien (Orange, NJ), MarQuel Davis (Deptford, NJ), Mikal Wright (Bridgeport, NJ), and D'Andre Miller (Paterson, NJ). The B nad C team both placed 6 and 7 respectively with times 44.16 and 46.09. B team was composed of Samuel Keleekai (Westampton, NJ), Brandon Laraque (Rahway, NJ), Denilson Vincent (Hillside, NJ), Anthony Zarro (Randolph, NJ) and C team was composed of Brandon Phillip (East Brunswick, NJ), Charles Reamon (Sewell, NJ), DaJhon Graves (Irvington, NJ), Antonio Gordon (Orange, NJ).

  • Giovani Aracena (Pleasantville, NJ) ran a time of 4:17.66 in the 1500m and Zion Watson (Sicklerville, NJ) clocked in with a time of 4:27.66.

  • In the 110 Hurdles, DaJohn Graves (Irvington, NJ) placed second when he clocked in with a time of 15.15, Jeanquai Morton (Riverside, NJ) followed closely running a time of 15.67, Matthew Lajeunesse (Union, NJ) followed closely finishing with a time of 15.92, Eddy Ongwenyi (Burlington TWP, NJ) crossed the finish line with a time of 16.66, Ben Basten (Sydney, Australia) finished with a time of 17.55, and Aminu Abdullahi (Union, NJ) followed closely clocking in with a time of 17.44.

  • MarQuel Davis (Deptford, NJ) placed 2nd with a time of 10.90 in the 100 meter dash, Denilson Vincent (Hillside, NJ) placed 4th with a time of 11.10, Mikal Wright (Bridgeport, NJ) followed closely finishing with a time of 11.45, Charles Reamon (Sewell, NJ) crossed the finish line with a time of 11.48, and Matthew Lajeunesse (Union, NJ) finished with a time of 11.62.

  • Brandon Laraque (Rahway, NJ) placed 2nd in the 400 meters sprinting to the finish line with a time of 50.24, Eddy Ongwenyi (Burlington TWP, NJ) placed 3rd when he clocked in with a time of 50:34, Robert Howell (Maplewood, NJ) finished with a time of 52.98, Nicolas Parisi (Bloomfield, NJ) sprinted to the finish line with a time of 54.39, and Antonio Gordon (Orange, NJ) clocked in with a time of 56.35.

  • Andree Di Reumante (Takoma Park, MD) ran through the finish line with a time of 1:58.67 in the 800m, Isaiah Curbelo (Mount Holly, NJ) clocked in with a time of 1:59.08, Samuel Keleekai (Westampton, NJ) ran a time of 2:01.46, Oneil Williams (Newark, NJ) crossed the finish line with a time of 2:03.15, and Zion Watson (Sicklerville, NJ) finished with a time of 2:09.27.

  • In the 400 meter hurdles, Eddy Ongwenyi (Burlington TWP, NJ) placed 1st with a time of 55.30,  Ben Basten (Sydney, Australia) placed 3rd with a time of 59.29, Jeanquai Morton (Riverside, NJ) crossed the finish line with a time of 59.99, Matthew Lajeunesse (Union, NJ) followed closely finishing with a time of 1:03.60, and Aminu Abdullahi (Union, NJ) finished with a time of 1:10.65.

  • Denilson Vincent (Hillside, NJ) placed 4th with a time of 22.67 in the 200 meter dash, Robert Howell (Maplewood, NJ) finished with a time of 23.80, Antonio Gordon (Orange, NJ) clocked in with a time of 25.13, and Charon Jenkins (East Orange, NJ) finished with a time of 25.73.

  • Nicholas Rivera (Camden, NJ) crossed the finish line with a time of 11:24.34 in the 3000m steeplechase.

  • Bloomfield College ran 3 simultaneously teams in the 4x400 meter relay, with A team placing 1st with a time of 3:20.89, it was composed of Immyouri Etienne, Samuel Keleekai, Eddy Ongwenyi, and Brandon Laraque. B team placed 4th with a time of 3:26.42 it was composed by Isaiah Curbelo, Nick Parisi, Giovanni Aracena, and D'Andre Miller. D team finished strong with a time of 3:50.15 it was composed by Paul Keyes, Akile Meade, Ben Bastien, and Jean Julien.

  • In the field events, Michael Ramos (Riverside, NJ) placed 10th in the Javelin with a throw of 35.47m.

  • Jeanquai Morton (Riverside, NJ) placed 7th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.80m.

  • Ben Beastien (Sydney, Australia) placed 2nd in the discuss with a mark of 42.80m and Matthew Lajeunesse (Union, NJ) followed closely with a throw of 24.13m.

  • Brandon Laraque (Rahway, NJ) placed 2nd in the Long Jump with a leap of 7.25m, Charon Jenkins (East Orange, NJ) hit a mark of 5.80m.

  • Evra Henoc (Maplewood, NJ) placed 5th in the high jump with a mark of 1.80m, Jeanquai Morton (Riverside, NJ) finished right behind placing 6th place with a mark of 1.80m, and Jahaud Lowber (Deptford, NJ) with a jump of 1.70m, and Charon Jenkins (East Orange, NJ) followed closely with a mark of 1.70m.

  • In the shot put, Charon Jenkins (East Oragne, NJ) and Brandon Phillip (East Brunswick, NJ) hit a mark of 8.88m and 8.41m in the shot put.

 

Bloomfield College will return back to action on April 19-20, 2019,  when they traveled to Moravian College to the Greyhound Invitational held in Bethlehem, PA.
