BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bears suffered a, 1-0 loss Saturday afternoon to Georgian Court University at Foley Field. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) setback marked the team's fifth straight defeat and left them with a 2-7 overall record in 2021. The Lions improved to 3-7 overall on the season and 2-3 in league play. During warm-ups the Bears wore pink 'Bloomfield College Bears Care' shirts to show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Samara Edward (St. Lucia) played a brilliant defensive game for the Bears back line and Bloomfield only allowed three Georgian Court shots on goal.
Mia Phillip (Bridgewater, NJ) returned in goal for the home team and picked up two saves during the match.
Bloomfield will take a week off before their next contest against Jefferson University. The CACC match is scheduled for Saturday, October 16th with a 1:00 pm start time.
