LAKEWOOD, NJ - The Bears hit the road Saturday afternoon and suffered a sweep at the hands of Georgian Court University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play. The setbacks dropped Bloomfield to 3-8-1 on the season and 3-6 in conference play while the Lions improved 18-2 on the year and atop the league standings with a perfect, 12-0 mark.

The Bears dropped Game 1, 5-0 managing four hits and committing one error. Taylor Galyean (Cottonwood, CA) took the loss in the opening game and fell to 0-3 on the season. In Game 2, Maddie Feddersen (Islip, NY) suffered the loss in the circle as Bloomfield mustered up just 2 hits against Georgian Court.

The Bears will get little rest as they turn around for another doubleheader tomorrow afternoon, this time against Caldwell University. The Cougars roll out the welcome mat for a scheduled noon-time start agaisnt Bloomfield on Sunday.
