LINCOLN, PA - The Bears women's soccer team picked up their second win of the season Tuesday afternoon when they defeated Lincoln University, 3-1 in Pennsylvania. O'vanna Mullings (Toronto, ON) scored her 2nd goal of the year in the 5th minute of play and the visiting team never looked back as they improved to 2-2 overall while the Lions dropped to 0-4.
Savannah Smith (North Arlington, NJ) netted her first goal of 2021 at 37:15 minute mark to put Bloomfield up, 2-0 going into the halftime break. Essence Thorton (Dayton, OH) concluded the scoring for the game with under five minutes left to play. Freshman keeper,
Maria Taseva (Elmwood Park, NJ) gave up a goal in her first action in a Bears uniform after she came on for starter,
Mia Phillip (Bridgewater, NJ) who registered four saves in 70 minutes of work.
Next on the schedule, Bloomfield will travel to Wilmington University for their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener. The battle on the pitch against the Wildcats is set for a 12:30 pm first touch.
