WILMINGTON, DEL. – The Bears women's soccer team suffered a, 3-1 setback on Saturday afternoon when they traveled to take on Goldey-Beacom College. Bloomfield's first test in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play saw their record drop to 1-2-1overall and 0-1 in league play. The Lightning Improved to 2-3 for the season after out-shooting the Bears 30-3 in the match and moved their conference mark to 1-0.
Bloomfield's lone bright spot came in the 25
th minute of play when
Kayla Silva (Bloomfield, NJ) netted her second goal as a Bear, booting in a loose ball past Goldey-Beacom's keeper.
Mia Phillip (Bidgewater, NJ) had her hands full all day, making 12 saves out-of 15 shots on goal. The Lightning enjoyed a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Bears are back in action on Tuesday with another CACC test when Dominican University comes to Foley Field for a 7:00 pm first touch.
