BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Women's basketball saw their 2023 debut fall short Wednesday evening when they suffered a, 78-46 setback to Post University. The Eagles (9-6, 4-1 CACC) took advantage of the Bloomfield (1-12, 0-5 CACC) offense only scoring 8 points in each of the first two quarters and never looked back during the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match-up in The Den.
The Bears went into the halftime break down 42-16 as the visitors continued to soar the rest of the way, opening up as much as a 35-point advantage across the final two frames.
Daniya Darby (Jersey City, NJ) returned to the starting squad and led Bloomfield in scoring, netting 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. Darby also grabbed 5 boards on the evening while
Kamrin Babbs (Newark, NJ) chipped in 10 points.
The Bears will hit the road for their last non-conference contest of the season on Sunday, January 8
thagainst Mercy College. The Mavericks roll out the welcome mat for a 12:00 pm tip-off at Dobbs Ferry.
