RUTHERFORD, NJ – The Bears men's soccer team hit the road Tuesday for an afternoon showdown with Felician University and suffered a, 2-1 loss in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action. The Golden Falcons, ranked 5th in the East Region rankings improved to 8-1-1 overall and a perfect, 6-0 in conference play while Bloomfield fell to 1-9 on the dseason with a, 0-6 record in league games.
The home team netted two goals in the first half on Tyron Field which proved to be too much for the Bears to overcome. Jomar Vizcaino went the full 90 minutes in goal and notched 9 saves against Felician. The visitors saw the return of their captain, Marvin Munoz who came on in relief for 77 minutes of action and scored Bloomfield's only goal of the day in the 54th minute of play. The Bears could not find the equalizing goal the rest of the way though as the Golden Falcons held a, 13-8 advantage in corner kicks and an, 11-4 edge in shots on goal for the day.
Bloomfield will return home to host Goldey-Beacom College in their next contest. The CACC match-up is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 pm on Foley Field.
