BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bears women's basketball team honored the program's four graduating seniors Wednesday evening and then thrilled the crowd to a, 59-45 victory over the University of Bridgeport. Bloomfield (5-21, 4-13 CACC) gave

Nyasia Bryant (Newark, NJ) their flowers in a pregame ceremony led by NJ Hall of Fame Coach
Vanessa Watson.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle was controlled by the Bears from the first quarter as they finished the frame up 14-6. The home team's defense produced 14 steals in the opening half and the Purple Knights (9-18, 5-13 CACC) found themselves behind, 27-15 at the break.
Bryant led Bloomfield with a career-high, 13 points on Senior Night and classmate, Ford snagged a team & career-high, 12 rebounds. The Bears sent a total of 12 players into the game and saw 11 of them record points on the stat sheet while also enjoying a, 34-14 advantage in points in the paint.
The Bears hit the road for their final contest of the season on Saturday when they face CACC foe, Caldwell University. The Cougars host Bloomfield at 1:00 on Mark Corino Court.
