WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Bears men's basketball team hit the road for a non-conference showdown on Saturday with the University of the District of Columbia and came away with an, 82-70 victory at the E.B. Henderson Sports Complex.
Starrell Hearns career-high 30 points paced Bloomfield's potent offense.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fast out of the gate, the Bears opened up the half on a 9-2 run to put the Firebirds on their heels however the hosts settled in and countered with a 14-6 spurt of their own to go up one (16-15).
- Bloomfield reestablished their dominance by halftime and headed into the break up, 46-39.
- The visitors never looked back in the 2nd half and went ahead by thirteen (64-51) on a Hearns layup in the paint with 9:29 on the clock.
- A thunderous dunk by Ellis off a feed from Izaiah Poole dazzled the crowd as the Bears cruised down the stretch for the win.
