NEW HAVEN, CONN – Bloomfield dropped a pair of non-conference games Tuesday against Southern Connecticut on the road. With the setbacks, Bloomfield fell to 7-14 on the season while the Owls improved to 6-8.
The home team's pitching held the Bears at bay allowing just 3 hits all day. Naya Olacio and Spencer Ventura found singles in Game 1 while CACC Honor Roll recipient, Jocelyn Moody broke through with a single in Game 2.
Danielle Walters took the loss in Game 2, giving up 1 run on four hits and struck out three. Game 1 saw Kate Juskiewicz (0-2) go three innings and gave up three runs while striking out one.
Bloomfield will return to conference play on Wednesday, March 27 when they visit the Dominican University Chargers at 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
