NEW HAVEN, CONN - The men's soccer team got their 2024 campaign underway on the road when they visited Southern Connecticut State University Thursday and dropped a, 3-0 non-conference decision. Bloomfield moved to 0-1 on the early season while the Owls improved to, 1-0 after Jose Clemente registered a hat-trick on his first three goals of the season.
Matthew Brun got the start in goal and made two saves while giving up a goal in the opening three minutes of play. Bloomfield brought in
Sander Meintjes for the 2nd half of play and he garnered 4 saves during the game. The Owls held a 16-2 advantage in shots for the contest with 9 of them on target to 1 for the Bears.
Bloomfield will return to action on Wednesday, September 11th when they travel again, this time to the College of Staten Island for a 4:00pm kickoff.
