BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bears women's basketball team held on for their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win on Wednesday evening against Felician University. The 78-68 road victory snapped Bloomfield's 10-game losing streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ellis got the scoring underway for the Bears with a three-pointer and the visitors were off to a 6-2 lead.
- The Golden Falcons answered with a 9-0 run to go up 11-6 with 4:39 on the clock before settling at 20-12 by the end of the frame.
- The home team racked up the first seven points of the 2nd quarter before another Ellis three-ball woke up the Bloomfield offense. Felician secured a 43-36 lead at halftime after shooting 54.3 percent from the floor.
- The Bears offense came out of the break rolling, pushing a 14-7 run to climb to within one (50-49).
- With less than a minute to play in the quarter the visitors took their first lead of the half at 57-56 on an Anisha Able conventional three-point play.
- At the halfway point of the fourth, Bloomfield carved out a, 66-61 lead. The visitors were able to keep the Golden Falcons at bay to capture their first CACC decision of the year and halt their ten-game slide.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- For the game, the Golden Falcons connected on 42.4 percent of their shots from the field (28-66) while the Bears shot 35.7% (25-70).
- Seven lead changes in the game with Felician controlling time of possession, 26:10 to 10:35.
- The home team out-rebounding Bloomfield 47-40 but the visitors held the edge in steals, 9-7 and blocks, 5-3.

- Bears on the road Saturday, January 25 when they head down to face Wilmington University at 1:00 pm.
