WILMINGTON, DEL. – The Bloomfield College women's basketball team played their first game of 2025 on the road and lost a, 74-66 battle against Goldey-Beacom College Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lightning began the game strong, leading 24-16 after the first quarter.
- The Bears were able to claw their way back in heading into halftime with only a five-point deficit (38-35).
- The visitors took the lead on a Tucker bucket in the paint just over a minute-and-a-half into the third period.
- Later in the quarter Tucker would push the Bloomfield lead to eleven (56-45) on three-pointer before the home team countered with five freethrows to close out the period and close their deficit to, 56-50.
- Goldey-Beacom picked up their momentum due to impressive free-throw shooting into the fourth and put up a 24-10 final quarter to claim their second conference victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Goldey-Beacom controlled the points in the paint, 30-22 and also held a 36-31 rebounding edge.
- Bloomfield converted 17 points off turnovers to Goldey-Beacom's 15 and second chance points were in the visitors favor, 16-10.
- Field Goals: Goldey-Beacom 20-45 (44.4%), Bloomfield 23-67 (34.3%)
- Free Throws: Goldey-Beacom 30-33 (90.9%), Bloomfield 10-12 (83.3%)
