BUFFALO, NY – The Bears spent their second day in the Empire State and pulled out a, 74-57 win over Bryant and Stratton College of Buffalo on Sunday afternoon. The USCAA battle improved Bloomfield's record to 2-2 overall while the Bobcats moved to 3-2 after the setback.
Nia Mallette secured her second straight double-double of the year as she led the visitors with a game-high, 23 points to go along with 14 rebounds. Mallette, who has led the Bears in scoring for three straight games, went 11-for-12 from the freethrow line and dished out five assists.
Anisha Able racked up her 2
nd double-double of the season, chipping in 17 points and 14 rebounds while
Bianca Ellis added 12 points to round out Bloomfield's top-scorers
The Bears were dominant down low, recording a 34-24 advantage on points in the paint and out-rebounded the Bobcats, 65-48. The strong presence on the boards led to 25 second chance points.

After playing four games in a six-day span, Bloomfield will rest up for their home opener on Friday, November 21 against another Bryant and Stratton College team. This time they square off with the Bobcats from Syracuse for a 5:30 pm tip-off in The Den.
