SPARKHILL, NY – It took double-overtime to decide a winner in Aquinas Hall on New Year's Eve but the Bloomfield College women's basketball team came out on the wrong side of an, 88-85 decision against the Spartans. The Bears suffered their second-straight setback and moved their overall record to, 7-4 to close out 2025.
Bloomfield saw a career-high afternoon from
Nia Mallette who exploded for 34 points on 12-of-26 shooting from the field. Mallette came off the bench to record her 6
th double-double of the year as she corralled 11 boards.
Anisha Able continued her dominant play, registering her eighth-straight double-double with a team-high, 14 boards to go along with 18 points.
Bianca Ellis went for 17 points in forty-four minutes of work and
Mia Martinez added career-highs in rebounds (11) and assists (10) for her first double-double in a Bears uniform.
