NEWARK, NJ - The Bloomfield College baseball team welcomed Felician University Tuesday to Vailsburg Park for another Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) showdown. The Golden Falcons swept the doubleheader and improved to 28-15. The home team dropped to 0-36 for the season.
In Game 1 the Bears registered seven hits led by
Elder Maldonado who scored a run and went 2-for-3 in the opening contest. Felician took the first game, 15-2 in seven innings after driving in fourteen runs on eleven hits.
The visitors shut out Bloomfield in Game 2, 17-0. The home squad committed four errors and recorded only one hit. The Golden Falcons had 12 hits including four batters with doubles and one with a homerun.
NEXT UP
The Bears are back on the road for their next CACC doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow, April 23rd. The quick turnaround will take Bloomfield to Hostelley Field to face Chestnut Hill College with the first pitch of Game 1 set for 3:00 pm.
