Men's Soccer Record Clean Sheet In Home Opener at Historic Foley Field

Bloomfield, NJ – The Bloomfield College of Montclair State University men's soccer team blanked Bryant & Stratton College of Albany 3-0 on Monday night under the lights at Foley Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bears (1-1) started the game on the Bobcats side of the pitch, dominating time of possession and firing off 10 shots in the opening period. In the 39th minute Bloomfield's Raynaldo St. Bernard broke through for the 1st half half's only goal. 
  • The Bears doubled the lead in the 74th minute, as a long ball from Daniel Morales took a high bounce over the Bryant & Stratton's keeper and Erick Bonilla managed to get a touch off his head to net his first goal of the season. 
  • Bloomfield sealed the game on a penalty kick at the 83:38 minute-mark as Omar Seoudy bested the visitors keep with a ball to the left bottom corner of the net to notch his first goal of the season.
  • The Bears saw freshman keeper, Gamaliel Olarte record his first clean sheet as he anchored a home defense that allowed only five shots total in the entire game. 
INSIDE THE RESULTS
  • St Bernard registered his team-leading second goal of the year through two matches. 
  • Morales recorded his first assist of 2025 to go along with one goal scored in Bloomfield's season opener.
  • The Bears recorded their first home opener shoutout victory since 2019.

Bloomfield will travel to face Berkeley College on Wednesday, September 10. Kickoff from the world famous Hinchliffe Stadium next to the Great Falls in Paterson, NJ is scheduled for 9:00 PM.
