BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Den was electric as the Bears women's basketball team set a program record in points scored in a game during the USCAA era, taking down Villa Maria College, 122-41. The Saturday morning battle with the Vikings feature a career-high double-double from Bloomfield senior, Anisha Able.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Bears commanded a 52-10 lead after two quarters of play.
• The home team shot 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field in the opening half.
• Able scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.
• Nia Mallette finished with a double-double of her own netting 19 points and snagging 10 boards.
• Bianca Ellis went 8-for-18 from the field (1-of-7 from 3-pt range) for 17 total points.
• Kayla Lewis came off the bench to round out the top-scorers with 11 points on 3-of-5 shooting.
• Bloomfield is undefeated in North American Conference for Intercollegiate Athletics (NACIA) play.

The Bears hit the road for a battle with NCAA Division II, Mercy University on Monday, January 5th. Bloomfield will look for their first win outside of USCAA action when they square off with the Mavericks for a 5:00 pm tip-off in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
