NEW HAVEN, Conn. (January 8, 2026) – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has unveiled its inaugural set of all-conference teams in esports. The Players of the Season and All-CACC Teams for Fall 2025 in the conference's three championship game titles were released today by Commissioner Dan Mara. Voting was conducted by the league's head coaches.

Goldey-Beacom College freshman Trey Gilmer was selected as the Fall 2025 CACC Player of the Season in Rocket League. In Super Smash Bros., Bloomfield College junior Nico McClendon and Post University freshman Jadon Rivera were voted as co-Players of the Season. Wilmington University senior Milianni Gonzalez took Player-of-the-Season Honors in Marvel Rivals. All four players were also elected to the All-CACC Team of their respective game.

Gilmer helped lead Goldey-Beacom to this fall's CACC Rocket League championship, including scoring the title-clinching goal with one minute left in the championship final. The Lightning claimed the Rocket League regular-season crown before earning a 4-1 victory over Post in the final.

McClendon and the Bears won their third consecutive CACC Smash championship, remaining undefeated in the game in conference competition. McClendon led Bloomfield in stocks taken during the regular season with 45 (in eight matches) while losing just 15. He won 17 of the Bears' 27 stocks during their final-match victory over Goldey-Beacom.

Rivera starred for a Post squad that finished third in the regular-season Smash standings. He took 55 stocks during the Eagles' seven matches this fall, breaking the school record for a CACC season.

Gonzalez paced Wilmington to a share of the Marvel Rivals regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed for the conference playoffs. A shot caller and tactician for the Wildcats, she averaged 28 assists per map. Gonzalez owned the highest average healing of any Strategist player in the league at 29,000 healing per map.

Esports debuted in the CACC during the 2024-25 academic year.  Two game titles – Rocket League and Super Smash Bros. -- were contested during the fall, with Marvel Rivals added for Spring 2025. The Spring 2026 season, with the same three titles, will begin in February.
