MELBOURNE, Fla. — The Bloomfield College of Montclair State University softball team took to the field at the USSSA Space Coast Complex in Melbourne, Fla on Wednesday for a single game and suffered a, 6-3 setback against Trinity College of Jacksonville. The Bears moved to 1-4 overall with the loss while the Eagles improved to 4-15 with the non-conference victory.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS:
- Jaida Hastings and Kate Juskeiwicz had back-to-back RBI doubles in the first inning. The tandem went 2-for-4 each with Juskeiwicz tallying two doubles for the day.
- Isabella Franco went 1-for-2 with an RBI while Kelly Varela stole her first base of the season.

- Kate Juskeiwicz got the start in the circle and went five innings surrendering three runs on four hits with only two runs earned. She struck out six batters and walked three before giving way to Hastings in relief. Hastings gave up three runs on two hits and walked two.

The Bears return to field for another single game tomorrow at the USSSA Space Coast Complex. The Thursday afternoon battle will be against Cornerstone University at 2:30 pm.
