Bloomfield College

About Nova:  A talented, hard-trowing righty, Luis rejoins the Deacons for his senior season in 2013 after establishing himself as one of the premier starting pitchers in the CACC a season ago.  Bloomfield will lean on Nova to anchor the pitching staff in the upcoming campaign, as he attempts to become of the top hurlers in the East Region in his final campaign with the program.

As a junior:  Made 11 appearances on the mound for Bloomfield in 2012, with 10 starts...Posted a 6-3 record, his six victories second on the club...Finished second among Deacons starters with a 2.29 ERA...Walked just 29 hitters in 63 innings, surrendering 51 hits...Posted a complete-game victory over nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University during his banner junior campaign...Six victories placed him sixth in the CACC...Nova's stellar season earned him a First Team All-CACC selection following the 2012 season.

Before Bloomfield:  Luis starred at ASA Junior College for two seasons  before joining Bloomfield’s program, earning All-Region 15 selections in both 2009 and 2010.

Why Luis chose Division II:  “I chose to come to Bloomfield because the school gives me the opportunity to further my education and play baseball that I am looking for.”
