About Ruth:  A talented player who is relentless in the post, Niiya rejoins the Lady Deacons for her senior campaign, and will provide outstanding depth at the forward position at the start of the 2013-2014 campaign.

As a sophomore:  Played in 14 games, averaging 6.5 minutes per contest...Posted averages of 1.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game during the 2011-2012 campaign...Tallied season highs in points (6) and minutes (16) in a loss to non-conference opponent Elizabeth City State University December 17, 2011...Totaled a season-high eight rebounds in a loss to The College of Saint Rose December 30, 2011...Amassed 21 points, 30 rebounds and eight steals during her sophomore campaign.

As a freshman:  Appeared in seven games for Bloomfield in 2010-2011...Averaged 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per contest...Shot an even 30% from the field, while connecting on one of her three attempts from beyond the arc...Totaled five steals, while shooting 73% from the free-throw line.

Before Bloomfield:  Niiya starred at Gil St. Bernard High School before joining the Lady Deacons basketball program at Bloomfield College.
