Biography

2014-2015: Bayley Legarreta enters Bloomfield College as a freshman and expects to contribute immediately.  One of the top scholastic catchers in New Mexico last season, Legarreta starred in the state's senior All-Star Game after a season in which she earned 5A All State honors for her stellar play.  Along with Greta Coleman, Legarreta hopes to solidify the catcher position, a weak spot last season, for the Bears this year.  A smart player who did a fine job handling pitchers during the fall, Legarreta is a tough backstop with a strong arm.  Offensively, Legarreta is a contact hitter who has some power as well.  She expects to be a solid contributor in Bloomfield's lineup.
