About Godowski: An impressive right-handed pitcher, Godowski turned himself into one of the best starters in the CACC, and one of the Deacons’ frontline arms over the course of his four-year career.  With two plus breaking pitches, Steve will helped to anchor the starting pitching for Bloomfield during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, earning a Second Team All-CACC selection as a sophomore in 2009. 

As a senior:  Made 16 appearances on the hill for the Deacons with 10 starts in 2011, totaling a 1-8 record while notching one complete game...Led the team in saves with three, and finished second on the staff with 52.2 innings pitched...Posted a 5.64 ERA while striking out 38 hitters and yielding 23 walks. 

As a junior:  Appeared in 12 games on the mound, making nine starts...Surrendered 31 earned runs in 62 innings pitched, while holding opponents to a .275 batting average...Finished second among Bloomfield pitchers with a pair of complete games, registering the team’s only shutout.   

As a sophomore:  A breakout season for Godowski, the righty went 6-4 with a 4.35 ERA in 11 starts, earning a save in a crucial conference victory against Wilmington University...Hurled 70.1 innings, surrendering 62 hits while strking out 70 hitters...Held opponents to a .230 batting average, while surrendering just nine extra-base hits...Steve’s outstanding season earned him an All-CACC Second Team selection. 

As a freshman:  Appeared in 14 games on the hill in his freshman campaign, making six starts...Pitched 43 innings, striking out 51 batters and walking 27.

Why Steve chose Division II: “I chose Bloomfield for its reputation as a baseball program.  I’m very happy to have the opportunity to play baseball and be involved in a team atmosphere.”
