Biography

About Alonso:  A two-year starter in goal for Bloomfield, Alonso helped the program earn its first ever trip to the NCAA Tournament as a senior in 2010. 

As a junior:  After transferring from Rutgers-Newark University, Alonso posted a goals-against average of 1.51 in 21 games played...Posted five shutouts over the course of the season, but his best play came in the CACC Tournament...His play during penalty kicks propelled the Deacons past nationally-ranked Wilmington University in the semifinal, earning him an All-CACC Tournament selection.

Why Steven chose Division II:  “When I spoke to Coach Falloon, he really made me feel like Bloomfield College had a soccer program on the rise, and that it was a place where I could get a great education.  I am proud to be a part of such a great program and school.”
