About Sweeney: One of the leaders on and off the floor for the Lady Deacons, Alexis enters her first season as a team captain. A talented guard with great instincts on the defensive end, Bloomfield will look to Sweeney to help carry them to their goals in 09'-10'.
As a junior: Played in 28 games with 25 starts, averaging 22.3 minutes a contest. Shot 50% from beyond the arc, and finished tied for second on the team with 41 steals.
As a sophomore: Played in 20 games averaging 13 minutes and 4.2 points per contest. She also grabbed 34 boards and dished out 21 assists.
As a freshman: Alexis played in 23 games for the Lady Deacons with 2 starts. She averaged 3.7 points per game while totaling 26 steals and 37 boards.
General: Alexis enjoys listening to music, watching TV, and working out.
Why Alexis chose Division II: "I chose Division II because Bloomfield offered a diverse student body, small classes, and its location was very close to my home."
