Biography

About DeCastro:  A talented midfielder who became one of the biggest surprises of 2009 as a sophomore, Andres established himself as a leader over the course of his career at Bloomfield, helping bring the program to new heights in his final two years as a Deacon.

As a senior:  Played in 13 games with two starts in 2011...Totaled one goal and one assist on seven shots, with three shots on goal.

As a junior:  Played in 21 games with 15 starts for the 2009 Deacons...Registered a goal and assist while totaling 19 shots, including nine shots on goal.

As a sophomore: Played in 14 games with eight starts in 2008...Notched a pair of assists while tallying three shots on goal.

As a freshman:  Played in 16 games with 11 starts for the 2007 squad...Notched an assist and eight shots on goal in his freshman campaign.

Why Andres chose Division II:  “I knew Bloomfield College was the right place for me.  I liked the size of the campus, and I felt like I could become the best soccer player I could be in this program.”

Coach Falloon on DeCastro:  "Andres matured a great deal as both a person and a soccer player over the course of his time here.  He was a major contributor to our program having the success we had in 2009 and 2010.  We wish him the best of luck in his future."
