About Daye:  One of the premier forces in the nation during his brilliant career, Gage became Bloomfield's all-time leading scorer as a senior during the 2010-2011 season, helping lead the Deacons to their first-ever Elite Eight appearance.

As a senior:  Played in all 32 games with 31 starts...Finished fourth in Division II basketball in scoring by averaging 24.1 points per game...Ranked 24th in the nation in assists per game (5.4)...A Sporting News Magazine Preseason All-America selection prior to his extraordinary campaign, Daye was named a first team All-American by Basketball Times Magazine, The Division II Bulletin and Daktronics...Also named Daktronics East Region, CACC and All-Met Player of the Year, the latter two for the second consecutive season...Averaged 6.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, good for 14th and second in the CACC respectively....Was named CACC Tournament, and East Regional Tournament MVP during the Deacons' storybook run to the Elite Eight.

As a junior:  Played in all 29 games with 27 starts for the 2009-2010 Deacons.  Averaged 26.6 points per game, good for second in the nation in Division II hoops.  Led the CACC in steals per game (2.3) and finished second in the league in assists per game (4.59)  Daye’s brilliant season earned him CACC and
All-Met Player of the Year honors, but the accolades did not stop there.  The junior earned a first team Daktronics All-Region, and second team All-American selection.  His extraordinary junior campaign has earned him a 2010-2011 preseason All-American selection by Sporting News Magazine.  

As a sophomore:  Played in all 30 games for the Deacons, with 28 starts.  Lead the team in scoring with 19.2 points in 30.2 minutes a game.  His 592 points were also tops for the Deacons in 08‘-09’.  Finished fifth on the team with 118 rebounds, good for an average of 3.2 per game.  Lead the team with 76 steals, and finished second with 46 threes.

As a freshman: Played in 32 games averaging 25 minutes per game.  Shot 38% from the field and 34% from beyond the arc.  Averaged 11.8 points per game and totaled 100 rebounds, 33 steals, and 64 assists.

Why Gage chose Division II:  “I chose Division II because Bloomfield had the family-like atmosphere that I was looking for.  I also wanted to play basketball at a school near enough to home where my friends and family could come see me play.”
