Bloomfield College

About  Lamison:  One of the best on-ball defenders in the country during her four-year career, Vanessa enjoyed a decorated tenure with the Bloomfield College women's basketball program, playing her final season with the team as a senior in 2011-2012. 

As a senior:  Played in 26 games with 26 starts, averaging 30.4 minutes per contest...Finished second on the Lady Deacons in scoring, averaging 11.5 points per game...Placed third on the club by averaging 6.3 rebounds per contest...Led the Lady Deacons in steals per game (3.1) and total steals (81)...Finished second in the CACC in total steals, and 15th in the nation in steals per game...Shot just under 43 percent from the field, good for second on the club...Reached double-figures in scoring in 15 games in 2011-2012, surpassing 20 points four times...Totaled a season-high seven steals on three occasions, with the Lady Deacons going 2-1 in those contests...Earned an All-CACC Second Team selection for her outstanding play in her senior campaign. 

As a junior:  Played in all 28 games with 28 starts as a junior in 2010-2011...Led the Lady Deacons and finished 19^th in the CACC in scoring averaging 12.0 points per game...Averaged 6.0 rebounds to finish third on the team, and led Bloomfield by averaging 2.3 assists in 28.4 minutes per contest...Led the CACC with 96 steals, and finished eighth in the nation in steals per game (3.4)...Placed 13^th in the CACC in field-goal percentage, shooting 42% from the floor...Totaled five blocks while shooting 72% from the free-throw line...Vanessa's outstanding junior campaign earned her a first team All-CACC selection in 2010-2011.

As a sophomore:  Played in 27 games with seven starts...Averaged 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in just over 18 minutes per contest...Pulled down 107 total rebounds, including 47 offensive rebounds, good for second on the squad...Her 151 total points placed her fifth on the 2009-2010 Lady Deacons.

As a freshman:  Played in 29 games with seven starts for the Lady Deacons...Averaged 8.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest, her 112 total boards good for second on the team in 08'-09'.

Before Bloomfield:  Vanessa starred at Frederick Douglas High School before joining the Lady Deacons basketball program at Bloomfield College.

Why Vanessa chose Division II:  “I chose Division II because I felt comfortable with the location of Bloomfield College as well as the people.  I knew the coaching staff here would only make me a better player.”
