Bloomfield College

About Judd:  A slick-fielding second baseman with tremendous speed, Michael will be redshirting for the Bloomfield College baseball program during the 2012 season.

As a junior: Played in 41 games, totaling 124 at-bats...One of only six Bloomfield players to reach 30 hits on the season, totaling 33...Finished sixth on the club in 2012 with a .266 batting average...Finished tied for third with eight stolen bases...Placed fifth on the Deacons in runs scored with 22...Posted a .338 batting average in CACC play, good for 17th in the league.

As a sophomore:  Played in 23 games with 13 starts, hitting .176 in 2011...Totaled nine hits in 51 at-bats, with three runs scored and three RBIs. 

Before Bloomfield:  A two-sport standout at Mount Olive High School, Michael was a second team All-Conference and third team All-Daily Record selection as a member of the baseball team, and a third team All-Conference selection as a member of the indoor track team during his high school career.

Why Michael chose Division II:  “I chose Bloomfield because of the small class sizes, and the ability to play with wood bats in the East Region of Division II baseball.  I think it’s a great fit for me and I look forward to being here for the next four years.”
