Biography

About Hicks:  A talented guard who can score from anywhere on the floor, Terry rejoins the Deacons for his junior season in 2012-2013, and will assume a leadership role as one of the team's two captains for the upcoming season.  Bloomfield expects Hicks to be one of the primary offensive weapons for this year's club.

As a sophomore:  Played in 34 games with 34 starts, averaging 34.1 minutes per contest...Finished second on the Deacons in scoring, averaging 13.3 points per game as a sophomore in 2011-2012...Shot just under 33% from beyond the arc as one of the club's primary perimeter weapons, the third-highest mark on the team...Totaled averages of 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game...Finished eighth in the CACC in total points (453), and 17th in total assists (66)...Reached double-figures in 25 of the club's 34 games on the season, totaling a season-high 22 points in a victory over CACC North Division rival Dominican College December 6, 2011...Shot over 40% from beyond the arc in eight games on the season.

As a freshman:  Played in 13 games in 2010-2011...Averaged 5.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per contest...Totaled 14 assists, six steals and a pair of blocks...Converted 7-12 from the free-throw line...Shot 39% from the floor and connected on 16 of his 41 three-point attempts, good for fifth on the Deacons...Terry's signature performance on the Deacons' run to the Elite Eight came against the University of New Haven, the rookie netting 10 points and three assists in an 85-75 victory on December 19, 2010.

Before Bloomfield:  Starred at Neptune High School...A 1,000-point scorer during his high school career, Hicks was a second team All-Prep selection by the Newark Star-Ledger, and a third team All-Conference selection during his tenure at Neptune...Attended Alabama A&M for one year before joining the men's basketball program at Bloomfield.

Why Terry chose Division II:  "I chose to come to Bloomfield because I felt like it gave me the best opportunity to succeed as both a student and a basketball player."
