About Monaco:  A four-year player behind the plate for the Bloomfield College baseball program, Mike concluded his stellar playing career with the Deacons as a senior during the 2012 season.

As a senior:  Played in 28 games, totaling 78 at-bats...Totaled 13 hits, including three doubles...Notched three RBIs during his senior campaign...A Team Captain in his final season with the program, Monaco solidified himself as one of the CACC's top defensive catchers by throwing 14 of 37 base stealers during the 2012 campaign. 

As a junior:  Played in 18 games with 17 starts behind the plate in 2011...Hit .167 in 54 at-bats, totaling nine hits...Tallied one double and drove in seven runs, while throwing out 13 of 37 base stealers on defense.

As a sophomore:  Played in 27 games behind the plate with 17 starts...Totaled 11 hits in 68 at-bats, registering a double and a pair of RBIs...Scored a pair of runs and notched 12 total bases.

As a freshman:  Played in four games, drawing a walk and scoring a run for the 2009 Deacons.    

Why Mike chose Division II:  “My main goal in high school was to continue my playing career at a place where I would fit in and feel comfortable.  I knew Bloomfield was the place for me because we work hard and have high expectations.”
