Biography

About Rivas:  A talented catcher with a plus throwing arm, Reyvis returns to Bloomfield for his junior seasonin 2013, and will look to take his place among the top catchers in the CACC in his third season with the program.

As a sophomore:  Played in 28 games behind the plate in 2012, totaling 86 at-bats...Totaled 24 hits, including four doubles and one home run...Notched 14 RBIs on the season, posting a .279 batting average...Posted a .361 on-base percentage, good for fourth on the team...Threw out ten runners behind the plate, gunning down 33% of runners stealing on the season.

As a freshman:  Played in seven games with two starts, hitting .083 in 12 at-bats...Drew a pair of walks on the season.

Before Bloomfield:  A four-time All-County selection during his high school career, Reyvis also earned Team MVP honors as a senior in 2010 while at County Prep. High School.

Why Reyvis chose Division II:  “I chose Division II because it gave me an opportunity to go to a great school and play baseball at a high level.”
