Derek Rosenfeld

    Assistant Baseball Coach
Derek Rosenfeld enters his first season as the Deacons' Assistant Coach, where he will primarily act as the team's first base coach. The 2013 season will mark his ninth season coaching at the collegiate level; he spent the previous seven seasons coaching at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey. 

From 1995-1997, Rosenfeld was a three-year starter at second base for the Ramapo College baseball team in Mahwah, New Jersey, where he earned all-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors and was a two-time New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) all-star selection. He was named MVP of the 1997 NJCBA All-Star Game. He finished his college career with a .337 batting average. He has also starred as an infielder in several highly competitive semipro baseball leagues throughout the New York tri-state area for nearly two decades.

"Coach D" is an Associate Editor for Fire Engineering magazine and a Web Administrator and Sports Columnist for www.FireLife.com. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Communications from Ramapo College and resides in North Bergen, New Jersey.
