2020 marks Jeff Watson's 12th year as the Head Baseball Coach at Bloomfield College. The second longest tenured head coach on the current Athletics staff, Watson has guided the Bears to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament four times under his direction. His 2019 team finished with a 14-18 conference record and knocked off the top-ranked team in Game 1 of post-season play. Watson coached the CACC Rookie of the Year in Tyree Bradley in 2019 and coached the NCAA Div II National Leader in stolen bases per game (Ramger Iglesias - 0.95) on his 2017 Bears squad.
The year 2008 brought Watson to Bloomfield College, when he was hired as an assistant coach under then head skipper Matt Belford. Watson served as third base coach, recruiting coordinator and hitting instructor for the Bears in '08, and assumed head duties in the summer of 2008.
A graduate of West Milford (NJ) High School, Watson was a two-sport athlete at American International College, starring in both football and baseball. A three-time All-Northeast 10 Conference selection on the diamond, Watson currently holds the school's career records for hits, doubles and RBIs. In football, he received the prestigious David Zanin Award and was a key player on AIC's back-to-back conference championship teams.
Prior to working at Bloomfield College, Watson was a sales representative in the pharmaceutical industry. He graduated from AIC with a degree in Business Management, and currently resides in West Milford, New Jersey.
