Gage Daye returns to the Bears sidelines for the 2023-2024 season in his twelfth season as an assistant under coach Gerald Holmes. As an assistant Daye has helped the team reach four NCAA appearances and three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference(CACC) Championships in 2012-2013, 2016-2017 and 2020-2021.

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Gage received a full scholarship to play men’s basketball at Bloomfield College. As a four-year letterman under Coach Holmes, he is one of the most decorated athletes in school history. As the school’s All-Time Leading Scorer (2,518 points), the two-year team captain earned First Team All-American Honors, East Region Player of the Year Honors, Two-Time All-Met Player of the Year Honors and Two-Time CACC Player of the Year Honors, to name a few. He went on to establish a professional basketball career with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Development League, and also traveled and played in Europe and Australia achieving multiple honors including Waratah State League MVP in 2015.

As a four year letterman under Coach Holmes at Bloomfield, Gage is one of the most decorated athletes in school history. As the school's All-Time Leading Scorer (2,518 points) his resume consists of First Team All-American Honors, East Region Player Of The Year Honors, Two-Time All-Met Player Of The Year Honors and Two-Time CACC Player Of The Year Honors to name a few. In 2011 Daye played an intricate part in the school's historic NCAA Div II Regional Championship/Elite 8 run. In 2023, Daye was inducted into the Bloomfield College Hall of Fame.
 


Gage graduated from Bloomfield with a degree in Human Resource Management and now serves as vice president of the Bloomfield College Alumni Association (BCAA).  The career entrepreneur is the founder of the statewide Youth Basketball Training Program (Lab Development) for both male and female players and Academic Athletic Advancement (A3) which provides youth with academic and athletic resources and opportunities. He is also the owner of Kleos Ventures, a real estate development company based in New Jersey.

Daye also earned a master’s degree in athletic administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015. He counts amongst his village of supporters, his mother Michele Daye, grandmother Shirley Daye, uncles, aunts, cousins, and fiancé Dre’Shonda Williams and two children, Gia and Gian Daye.
