Bloomfield College

About Henderson:   Steve rejoins the Deacons for his senior campaign in 2013-2014, and will help bolster the backcourt for Bloomfield.  A great shooter from beyond the arc, Steve will provide a lethal long-distance weapon for Bloomfield this season.

As a sophomore:  Played in 28 games for Bloomfield, averaging 9.3 minutes per contest...Averaged 4.7 points, and 0.5 rebounds per game during his sophomore season...Finished second on the Deacons in three-point percentage, converting just under 34% of his attempts from beyond the arc...Reached double-figures in scoring four times in 2011-2012, going for a season-high 17 points in a victory over CACC South Division rival Holy Family University January 28, 2012...Also made a season-high five three-pointers in the victory over Holy Family...Shot over 50% from three in eight games as a sophomore.

As a freshman:  Played in 29 games with two starts as a freshman...Finished fourth on the Deacons in scoring, averaging 7.2 points per game...Led the team in three-point percentage, connecting on just over 43% of his attempts from beyond the arc...Averaged 1.1 rebounds per game, totaling nine steals and one block...Earned CACC Rookie of the Week honors for the week of December 30, 2010 and BloomfieldPatch.com Athlete of the Week honors for the week of January 7, 2011...Steve's signature performance on the Deacons' run to the Elite Eight came against Saint Anselm College, when the rookie set career highs for points and three-pointers made in a single game by finishing the day 8-15 from beyond the arc and dropping a team-high 24 points.

Before Bloomfield:  Steve starred as a guard for West Orange High School before joining the men's basketball program at Bloomfield College.

Why Steve chose Division II:  “I chose Division II because I knew Bloomfield was the right place for me themoment I stepped on campus.  I felt at home immediately.”
