Biography

About Diop:  One of the many talented defenders on the 2012 Deacons, Momar has been a key member of the club's last line since joining the team as a freshman in 2009.  He returns for his senior season set to man one of the starting spots on Bloomfield's defense.

As a junior:  Played in 16 games with 14 starts...Notched two assists with nine shots, including one shot on goal...Provided outstanding play along the club's back line throughout his junior campaign in 2011.

As a sophomore:  Played in 19 games with 18 starts in 2010, totaling 18 shots with two shots on goal...Was a key member of a defense that posted the fourth-lowest goals-against average in the CACC (1.28).

As a freshman:  Played in 20 games with 16 starts, providing outstanding play on the back line for the Deacons.  Registered 17 shots, with four shots on goal.

Before Bloomfield:  Selected High School Defender of the Year in 2007, Diop was also a two-time All-County and All-State honoree during his decorated career at Dickinson High School.

Why Momar Chose Division II:  “I chose Division II because Bloomfield seemed like a place where I could reach my goals in soccer while getting a good education.”
